“Then, of course, you can’t mention Modena and Italian cuisine without mentioning the Michelin three-star restaurant Osteria Francescana and chef Massimo Bottura. In 2016 and then 2018, it was given the prize of the best restaurant in the world by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, claiming to be the authority in global gastronomy. The restaurant, which sat on a narrow side street in the historic center of Modena, gained its first Michelin Star in 2002, the second in 2006, and the third in 2011.”
– Chapter Two of Improvising in Italian

Today, Osteria Francescana is still a famous three-Michelin restaurant but it’s now possible to try the iconic dishes another way. At Casa Maria Luigia, the Bottura’s beautiful bed and breakfast in the countryside of Modena, you can get a nine-course dinner once served at Osteria Francescana.

It’s set up differently than at the restaurant. Even though you’ll be paying Michelin three-star prices, it’s more down-to-earth. You will dine at a communal table and be able to watch the chefs in the open kitchen.
